Language and Personality (under Essays)

My greatest long-term frustration in life is failure to make a career as an academic.  It wouldn't have been a perfect careerI'm well aware that there is much crap one must put up withbut I have loved teaching, and I feel that I owed more use to the world (or the academic world, at least) of the extensive academic time and resources I put in to the age of 39 (when I finished my Ph.D.) and afterwards.

This section of the web site is devoted to making at least some of that heritage available for a public that will likely have no interest in it.  I will include material I've previously written, and I will create new content.
